It’s the holiday season, and middle school student Greg Heffley has a problem. His school is suddenly a bunch of safety freaks. So whenever someone gets hurt on the playground, they go right ahead to remove that piece of equipment. Before long, the playground area is just a sawdust pit. That means recess is a total bore. But when Greg “accidentally” vandalizes school property, he thinks he’s totally got a punishment coming along. Thing is, the school doesn’t know it’s him, until his best friend Rowley accidentally rats him out. Greg is so paranoid about the police coming and taking him into custody, he’s a nervous wreck. But when his house gets snowed in and the power goes out, Greg isn’t going to have such a jolly Christmas after all…
I would recommend this book to fans of the Big Nate series and the past Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. Book 6 scores a 10/10 rating from me!
