Christmas play update
By: Anthony F.
Christmas was coming the actors knew in a flash to practice their lines and stop eating trash. The dancers were dancing a merry good dance. On top of all that the singers voices, they could blow off your hat. Ha ha it’s very good fun to talk like this but anyway here’s what’s new. The singers have been picked including Kyla Bondy, and Trent Seguin. The jokers are back with jokes that’ll leave you wanting more starring Meg Mooney, Ben Duggan, and me, plus many more. There are actors that could bring tears to your eyes like; Megan Morand, Sydney Galloway, and many more. The dancers are practicing their own dances as the rockettes and the ballet dancers, including Gillian Marshall and believe me when I say many, many more. The choir who will sing their merry songs next to the stage, so many children so happy to be part of this year’s Christmas play. Oh yeah and don’t forget about everyone you don’t see like the lighting and technical crew and the wonderful people who put this whole thing together. Yes that’s right there is a behind the scenes part too. When you see these people going around, please say thanks or something like that for putting together the entire play. Boy you’re in for a good show. We have been practicing hard! See you in December for the big show!
Notebooks Vs. Netbooks
By Mathew .O and Jonathan .E
A growing problem at Lakeshore Discovery School is the laptop computers. Many people in most classes have a problem with the Netbooks. My teacher usually takes out one cart of Netbooks and one cart of note books and all students fight over the Netbooks because they are new, they don't want the older ones. The solution is this article. Under here lies the truth...
Pros | Cons | |
Netbooks | Ultra light and portable | Slower processor |
Notebooks | Faster processors | Not as portable as the Netbooks |
Netbooks | More screen pixels | No CD drive |
Notebooks | Has a CD drive | Less screen pixels |
Netbooks | LED back lit screen | Can't support full programs |
Notebooks | Can support full programs | No LED back lit screen |
So in conclusion we have a choice, the Netbooks are good for travailing and simple tasks whereas notebooks are good for harder tasks and data management but not as portable. But in my opinion the Notebooks will always be better and will NEVER be replaced by Netbooks but that's just what I think.
P.S This was typed on a notebook and it was a lot easier than typing on a Netbook.
